KONE wins order for an infrastructure project in Zhengzhou, China's Henan province

KONE Corporation, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry has won the order to supply 96 elevators and escalators for an infrastructure project in Zhengzhou comprising of underground highways, a civic cultural center and the extension of the city's metro line 5.

Located in central China, the city of Zhengzhou is home to approximately 9.72 million people. Once completed, the KONE equipment will be used by millions of commuters every day. The complex includes six underground stations.

KONE will provide the complex with 79 KONE TransitMaster(TM) escalators, 11 KONE MonoSpace® elevators and 6 KONE MiniSpace® elevators for the parking lot and car depot at the metro line 5 project.

The complex is designed by Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Limited, and developed and built by ZhengZhou Rail Transit Co.The project is due for completion in 2019.

The order was booked in the third quarter of 2017.
